end of the year reflections

I was watching the evening news tonite, something I rarely do since I work evening shift, but was a bad girl and called in sick today. Anyway that is another story. But you know how at the end of the year they always show all the important people who have died the past year. As I watched all those familiar faces go by it really made be feel sad. There was the last one, Peter Jennings, so smart, so talented, so loved, and he is gone. But with the celebrities they are not really gone because we continue to see their movies and listen to their music. I guess it just makes me realize how fragil life as we know it is. We take so much for granted and live our lives as if they will go on forever. Maybe my wish for the new year for everyone is to slow down, really enjoy your lives, resolve old resentments, find beauty around you in the simple things, and take care of yourselves and each other. I like the saying, "don't sweat the small stuff, everything is small stuff." That is so true. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
