Gotta watch this video. It is just to darn cute
"You 'BECOME' the horse said to the rabbit. 'It doesn't happen all at once. It takes a very long time. Generally by the time you are REAL most of your hair has been loved off and your eyes drop out and you get loose in the joints and very shabby. But those things don't matter, because you are real, you can't be ugly, except to people who don't understand.' " >>> The Velvateen Rabbit

Big sister loves baby sister
My second great grand daughter is due any day! Isn't this just a precious moment! My vote is for another little red head!
Here's to old friends
Have been on vacation, more on that later, but just wanted to jot a few lines while I remember my waking thoughts. Do you do that? Wake up with something really brilliant on your mind then by the time you have breakfast it is gone in a puff of steam off the coffee.
What do Rosemary, Linda, Suzanna, and Maggie have in common? ME! These are old friends I got to reconnect with in Carson City this past week. Rosemary and I went to nursing school together, Linda is the one who taught me how to set up and run my book store, Suzanna is an old friend of my SIL and I thank her for her kindness, Maggie and I used to work together at the prison. So a well rounded bunch of friends. It was great to yak and catch up and make sure we will stay in touch with our computers now.

Last one......maybe
As you can see, they are all beady eyed now and getting feathered out. Will be gone a few days so they may be gone when I get back. Next year we will put a basket under the nest right off and let them have at it. Our little house wren is back and has decided to nest in the gourd that I hung just inside the carport. They are happy as can be, and singing up a storm. Have another one hanging in the tree, but I think we just have the one pair so far. I sat on the deck last pm and let him/her sing to me from across the deck.
One last picture till later........

23 Adult Truths
(Just a little something I sort of borrowed from a friend)
1 Sometimes I'll look down at my watch 3 consecutive times and still not know what time it is.
2. Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.
3. I totally take back all those times I didn't want to nap when I was younger.
4. There is great need for a sarcasm font.
5. How on earth are you supposed to fold a fitted sheet?
6. Was learning cursive really necessary?
7. Map Quest really needs to start their directions on # 5. I'm pretty sure I know how to get out of my neighborhood.
8. Obituaries would be a lot more interesting if they told you how the person died.
9. I can't remember the last time I wasn't at least kind-of tired.
10. Bad decisions make good stories.
11. You never know when it will strike, but there comes a moment at work when you know that you just aren't going to do anything productive for the rest of the day.
12. Can we all just agree to ignore whatever comes after Blue Ray? I don't want to have to restart my collection...again.
13. I'm always slightly terrified when I exit out of Word and it asks me if I want to save any changes to my ten-page technical report that I swear I did not make any changes to.
14. I keep some people's phone numbers in my phone just so I know not to answer when they call.
15. I think the freezer deserves a light as well.
16. I disagree with Kay Jewelers. I would bet on any given Friday or Saturday night more kisses begin with Miller Light than Kay.
17. I wish Google Maps had an "Avoid Ghetto" routing option.
18. I have a hard time deciphering the fine line between boredom and hunger.
19. How many times is it appropriate to say "What?" before you just nod and smile because you still didn't hear or understand a word they said?
20. I love the sense of camaraderie when an entire line of cars team up to prevent a jerk from cutting in at the front. Stay strong, brothers and sisters!
21. Shirts get dirty. Underwear gets dirty. Pants? Pants never get dirty, and you can wear them forever.
22. Even under ideal conditions people have trouble locating their car keys in a pocket, finding their cell phone, and Pinning the Tail on the Donkey - but I'd bet everyone can find and push the snooze button from 3 feet away, in about 1.7 seconds, eyes closed, first time, every time.
23. The first testicular guard, the "Cup," was used in Hockey in 1874 and the first helmet was used in 1974. That means it only took 100 years for men to realize that their brain is also important.
Ladies.....Quit Laughing.
Their nest runneth over!
We got 3 inches of rain over the weekend and as a result the back side of the robin nest was sagging badly and the kids are getting pretty big, so of course we had to mess with Mother Nature. I used a bag that avocados came in and we pinned it up behind the nest, then pulled the back down under the nest and tied it off. Hopefully this will help. Someone told me that they helped their robins by actually using a small basket and putting the nest in it and fastened the basket to the tree and the Momma didn't mind at all. Ours are working hard to feed the 4 babies.
Been keeping an eye on a the pair of crows that live nearby. We have seen them carrying baby birds in their beak with a flock of robins squawking their heads off, chasing the crow. And you know they weren't taking the baby birds to adopt! DANG Crows!

This is a video site that I wish to share. I was very moved by it and hope others will take a few minutes and watch it. The photography is beautiful and the message is timeless!

Look Hard!
See anything about in the middle? Look hard now!
I bet you see now!
Awesome huh? This nest if just off my front porch. Since I didn't lay the eggs you have my permission to take this picture. If you enter a contest with it and win lots of money I strongly encourage you to share, it would be the right thing to do!
