The big excape

Yesterday was an eventful day at work. We have a prison industry business and apparently an inmate was able to hide in a load of furniture and get away, then later down the road he punched a hole in the roof of the truck and had plyers to pull the metal and made about a 12 inch hole that he crawled thru and when truck stopped somewhere he jumped off. This is a major thing. No one remembers a prison break from here. We do get walk aways from the work camps a couple times a year but this is a big deal for one to excape from behind the fence. Of course there is alot of finger pointing, and inmates know there is a problem with understaffing. During the night before a guy cut his wrists, had to be sent out to sew him up and then he went to mental healt unit, then as I was walking in yesterday they were calling a man down. He really was down, older guy had died in his bunk. So with so much going on, we were on total lock down last pm. that means house to house delivery of all meds. Its not bad, just different. I try to stay prepared.
